Give to St. Kate's Day 2020

Give to St. Kate’s Day, is our biggest day of giving! On this day, the St. Kate’s community comes together to support the next generation of Katie leaders and celebrate the incredible impact Katies have on our world.  In light of the continued financial stress for our students due to the pandemic, every gift on Give to St. Kate’s Day will help provide Katies with essential scholarships and immediate financial relief as they continue on with their education.

Giving a gift on Give to St. Kate’s Day ensures St. Catherine University remains financially accessible to the best and brightest students. Annual gifts each year provide support to empower women to lead and influence. This support prepares students to make a living, make a difference, and make a life of purpose and meaning.

Help spread the buzz on social media by using the hashtag #GoKatieGive! Tell your Katie friends, family members, and anyone you think may be interested in celebrating Give to St. Kate’s Day!  If you'd like to become an official Give to St. Kate’s Day Ambassador, click the "Ambassador" button (top of page) and a complete social media toolkit will be provided for you.

We are grateful for our very generous alumni and friends of the University who have stepped up to offer challenge and matching funds for our day of giving. Depending on the challenge or match you select your gift will help unlock additional dollars to support the Katie Fund. Challenge and matching funds are unique to Give to St. Kate’s Day and are only offered on November 18 so don’t miss your opportunity to maximize your support for students at St. Kate’s!

Thank you for already supporting St. Kate’s! On Give to St. Kate’s Day you can enhance your support by making an additional one-time gift or by increasing the amount of your sustaining gift. New this year - for everyone who establishes a new sustaining gift or increases the amount of their current recurring gift on Give to St. Kate’s Day, they will receive a branded St. Kate’s mask!  If you are a faculty or staff member, you can start or increase your payroll deduction at: stkate.edu/facultystaffgive.

Give to St. Kate’s Day was inspired by GiveMN’s Give to the Max Day. The University has chosen to create a unique day of giving to reach a broader audience of alumni and friends who live nationally and internationally, not just in Minnesota. Also, the Foundation that runs GiveMN, retains 6.9% of each donation to help cover their expenses. St. Kate’s donors can still participate in Give to the Max Day,  however, directing community members to our own website, allows the entire donation to support St. Kate students. 

Yes! Individuals are welcome to make a gift over the phone by calling 651-690-6976 or by mailing in a check. The University will count all gifts received via postal mail with a memo of Give to St. Kate’s Day (or GTSKD) with the postmark of November 18, 2020. 

Yes, gifts made for Give to St. Kate’s Day are tax-deductible. All donors will receive a paper or electronic receipt after making a gift online, through the mail, or via the phone.  

Yes! Many companies offer programs that will match contributions to St. Catherine University. Your donation to the Katie Fund will meet most matching requirements and can double your impact.  Companies will often match gifts by spouses, parents, retirees, or partners. To find out if your employer has a matching gift program, contact your human resources office or visit stkate.edu/match.

Give to St. Kate’s Day is a great way to demonstrate your Katie pride and continue your support of current students. If you have given this year, thank you! Making another gift on November 18 will not only increase your impact on students but will also help release additional challenge gifts that are only available for this day of giving!
